Wow, we're a week into December already? How the heck did this happen?
If you're asking yourself the same thing, it might be because December tends to be one of the busiest months, full of additional activities, parties and concerts. Maybe you have holiday cards to send out, presents to buy and travel plans to make. It's busy, and for many of us the time flies by at lightning speed.
But if you find yourself bogged down with so many extra responsibilities that you don't feel like you have time to really soak in and enjoy this special time of year, Wassail Days might be just the ticket.
Frisco's annual tradition of Wassail Days goes on through December 11, so there's still plenty of time to get here and get wassailing! Just pick up a "12 Sips of Wassail" card at any participating business, then stroll from store to store, sampling some wassail and getting your card stamped at each location. Many restaurants are also taking part, so if you're hungry you could stop for a bite to eat and still get another stamp!
Once you have 12 stamps and are all wassailed out, take your card to the Visitor Information Center and trade it in for a very cool commemorative mug.
What could be a better way to get you in the holiday spirit than walking down a picturesque Main Street in the Rocky Mountains, sipping a warm beverage and popping into unique shops, listening to festive music? It's pretty great. And best of all, Wassail Days doesn't cost anything. Even parking is free in Frisco. There are some other events in the upcoming days, including carolers and breakfast with Santa. Whatever you do during this busy time of year, we hope you have lots of fun, and that you are able to stop once in a while to take a deep breath and enjoy yourself. As The Wassail Song says, "Love and joy come to you, and to your wassail too!"
